What is Dual Agency: Why Buyers & Sellers Should Avoid it

Bill's Thoughts
What is dual agency? How does dual agency work? When you are involved in a real estate transaction it is important to understand dual agency! See why you should avoid dual agency when you are buying or selling a home. Lots of real estate agents will not explain dual agency properly to you. Why? They have a vested interest in you agreeing to it. You see, the only party that benefits from dual agency is the real estate agent. When you allow dual agency, you no longer have someone representing YOUR best interests.

I'm really glad dual agency, as you describe it, is not lawful in my state, Maryland. It serves no one but the agent!

@Bill spot on - dual agency is horrible for consumers - only the real estate agent benefits.
